On March 14th, 2013, world renowned vegan chef, Tal Ronnen, opened CROSSROADS Kitchen in Los Angeles. This swanky, veg only eatery offers Mediterranean style small plates along with other delicious bites, and a dessert menu created by master vegan baker, Serafina Magnussen. With interior design by Studio Collective, Crossroads really does offer a lovely dining experience.

Upon arrival, I spotted Ellen Degeneres and Portia de Rossi (Chef Ronnen has many celebrity fans) to my left before I joined my date at the bar. I had the CEDAR KNOLL Cabernet Sauvignon — California (Napa) ($22) to start. Pricey, but amazing! After we were seated, we ordered the following (gluten free options) from the dinner menu: CARAMELIZED LEEK & CAULIFLOWER BISQUE with fried capers ($6), FARINATTA herbed chickpea flour pancake / charred cherry tomatoes / baby arugula smoked shallot vinaigrette ($8), ARTICHOKE OYSTERS artichoke purée / crispy oyster mushroom / yellow tomato béarnaise / kelp caviar ($8), “CRAB CAKES” hearts of palm / apples / beets / horseradish cream ($8), RISOTTO STUFFED BANANA PEPPER basil lime beurre blanc ($8), and for dessert, CITRUS PANNA COTTA with Jaboulet Muscat Beaumes de Venise ($20). The Cauliflower Bisque and Artichoke Oysters were my absolute favorite. Don’t get me wrong, though, everything was delicious and very well crafted. I really enjoyed my visit, and highly recommend it to those looking for a highly exceptional dinner spot.

They are very on top of their reservations! This is probably because they are still very new.
Can’t wait for the next visit!
